Bending & Forming

Bending & Forming – The Bending & Forming technology area covers a wide range of machines and processes used to fabricate sheet metal, plates and tubes. To achieve the desired shape, some of the most commonly used equipment include bending machines, folding machines, sheet bending machines and punching machines, which plastically deform these materials. Other technologies covered in this area include angle formers, ironworkers, slotters, rail formers and sheet rolling machines.

With decades of experience in sheet metal fabrication, Pentek has the knowledge, expertise and cutting-edge technology to meet all metal fabrication needs across a wide range of industries, including retail, industrial, aerospace and construction. Our skilled and passionate staff provides a full range of services from design to delivery and installation, covering markets around the world.

Pentek offers complete end-to-end sheet metal fabrication services for customers seeking high-quality metal product manufacturing.

We will provide you with seamless guidance from start to finish to meet your sheet metal fabrication needs, from single products to mass production. We use parametric solid modeling software, which underpins our tailored design approach and strong project resources. Our engineers and designers have the knowledge and vision to transform the most unique concepts into reality.

The purchase of advanced fiber laser cutting machines puts us at the forefront of sheet metal fabrication technology. Investments in modern infrastructure, equipment and software, along with structured training programs, allow Pentek to ensure consistency and precision in every sheet metal product it produces and assembles. Our team of sheet metal fabrication and laser cutting experts are ready to take on standalone laser processing tasks or complete fabrication projects, and can even provide 24/7 service as needed.

How Does Sheet Metal Fabrication Work?

During the sheet metal fabrication process, thin sheet metal stock is placed on a flat bed where a laser cutter (1) draws programmed part patterns. Depending on the part geometry, a sheet metal punch (2) can form additional features. Once the parts are deburred, they move to the press brake (3) where they are formed into the final geometries. Additional secondary operations are often used to finish the sheet metal parts.
