Precision CNC Machining Services
Computer numerical control (CNC) machining, also known as CNC milling, is the automation of machine tools and operations using high-precision computer instructions. CNC machining became the industry standard in the late 1960s and remains the preferred method today. Pentek continues to improve our CNC machining services to keep up with the latest technology, and our dedicated team and advanced equipment can help you manufacture all types of complex parts with high precision while meeting your industry standards or application requirements.
Types of CNC Services
Pentek has everything you need to create superior CNC precision machined parts for a diverse customer base. When you choose us for your CNC machining needs, you can be sure to receive a finished product that exceeds your expectations in terms of quality, precision, and accuracy. With extensive turning capabilities, we have the experience and knowledge to handle any project and meet exact specifications. Our precision CNC services include:
3/4/5-Axis CNC Machining Services
Five-axis machining utilizes computer numerical control technology to move a workpiece along five axes simultaneously. This allows complex parts to be machined with far greater precision than other machining techniques. In addition, CNC precision machining and five-sided milling techniques ensure a smooth surface finish, which is critical for many manufacturing projects. Our five-axis CNC machining uses advanced technology to provide superior machining results at a very competitive price. This machining process is the preferred choice of the aerospace industry, which is known for its precision machining of complex parts.
Customization
At Pentek, we enjoy working with our customers to ensure that the end product is more than just a machined part, but a solution that integrates seamlessly into their operations. We will work closely with you to understand your unique needs and provide the best solution for your project.
CNC Machining Capabilities
Pentek has advanced equipment to provide a variety of precision CNC machining services. We offer the following precision machining services:
CNC Milling
In precision CNC milling, a rotating tool removes excess material from a stationary workpiece. This method is ideal for machining rectangular or square materials.
CNC Lathe
CNC lathes rotate the workpiece around a stationary cutting tool. These machines can also machine holes, threads, broaches, and slots.
CNC Plasma Cutter
Plasma cutters use a precision plasma torch to melt external material to form the desired component.
CNC EDM
EDM uses electric sparks to erode the workpiece to remove excess material. The workpiece must be conductive.
CNC Waterjet Cutters
These precision cutting machines use a high-pressure stream of water mixed with abrasives to cut holes or shapes into a workpiece.

Lathe machining
Lathe machining is a part of mechanical machining, mainly in two forms: one is to fix the turning tool and process the unformed workpiece during rotation; Another method is to fix the workpiece and perform precision machining by high-speed rotation of the workpiece and horizontal and vertical movement of the cutting tool (tool holder).

CNC milling
CNC lathes are capable of processing complex rotating body shapes. Numerical control milling machines can process complex shapes and features. The milling and boring machining center can perform three-axis or multi axis milling and boring machining, used for machining molds, gauges, molds, thin-walled complex surfaces, artificial prostheses, blades, etc

5 axis machining
When precision machining parts with complex geometric shapes, it is necessary for the machining tool to be able to position and connect in five degrees of freedom. It is commonly used in the aerospace field to machine body parts, turbine parts, and impellers with free-form surfaces.

4 axis machining
4 axis machining is a CNC machining technology widely used in fields such as aerospace, automotive manufacturing, medical equipment, and electronic products. For example, four axis machining technology can be used for complex turbine blades in aerospace, engine components in automotive manufacturing, precision parts in medical equipment, and small precision parts in electronic products

Lathe machining
Used for cutting inner and outer cylindrical surfaces, inner and outer conical surfaces with arbitrary cone angles, complex rotating inner and outer surfaces, and cylindrical and conical threads of shaft or disc parts, and can perform cutting, drilling, expanding, reaming, and boring.
Aluminum
Aluminum is a popular choice for machining due to its low density, good mechanical properties, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum alloys, such as 6061-T651, 7075-T651, and 2024-T351, are commonly used in CNC machining because they offer a good balance of strength, machinability, and cost.

Brass
Brass is an alloying consisting of both copper and zinc. The gold materials is a weather- and corrosion- resistant metal with tensile strength similar to mild steel. It’s also an easy to machine material, so feedrates can remain high and coolant need is minimal.

Copper
Copper is a metal that is corrosion-resistant, extremely electrically conductive, and highly ductile. Its glossy orange-reddish appearance is instantly recognizable, and the metal looks attractive even when it goes through a natural oxidation process that forms a bluish-green coating called patina in response to its environment. Note, however, that copper weldability is considered moderate to poor.

Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is well-suited for a wide array of CNC machining projects, due to its excellent machinability and outstanding uniformity. It also has good workability and weldability to match your specific machining needs, as well as high ductility and formability to meet the specification requirements of any project.

Steel Alloy

Steel Mild Low Carbon

Titanium
Titanium is a popular material for CNC machining due to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility. However, titanium presents unique challenges in machining due to its high strength, low thermal conductivity, and tendency to work harden during cutting.
